about the myseterious disappearance
of leon (i mean noel)

Ellen Raskin is most widely known for her Newberry Medal winning book The Westing Game, but she had already published and illustrated many books before that book was published in 1978. However, The Westing Game is a masterpiece and a great read. But due to that huge success, so many of her other books were overlooked.

One such book is The Mysterious Disappearance of Leon (I Mean Noel), published in 1974, and the subject of this fanlisting. This book is about a woman who has inherited a soup company and has lost her husband, who she hasn't known since childhood.

The characters and silliness in plot makes this story a very wonderful read. I enjoyed every page. The story had some mystery as well and this is what Ellen Raskin is very good at providing intrigue.

I am very glad that I decided to track down her other works. After reading The Westing Game I knew that I would love anything else she had written, it's worth the time and money to get a hold of her other works.
